For the most part the children at Family Ministries find life to be very structured. The children are expected to adhere to a daily schedule that includes meals, chores, study, recreation, and a wide variety of activities. School attendance is mandatory; this is often a change from the norm for many of our children. Work hard, play hard, and pray hard is the underlying foundation of Family Ministries. The children are involved in all aspects of work around their home. Often you will see them mowing, weeding, cooking, cleaning, and doing their laundry. The children are discovering that playing is an essential part of life regardless of your age. They enjoy playing basketball, inner-tube soccer, volleyball, Frisbee football, camping, and swimming. It is important to recognize that only through prayer can these children's lives be repaired and the cycle be broken. The children are encouraged to develop their own devotion time and they are required to participate in family devotions.
